If you're a fan of the Nickelodean show Unfabulous, you'll love Emma Roberts debut album 'Unfabulous and More' which serves as a soundtrack to the show. The album features studio recordsing of Addie's best songs from the show.
Young and optimistic, the album is a must have for pop lovers.
I wanna be - Upbeat song of dreams. Very catch - 8/10
Punch Rocker - Comeback to name calling from the episode where Addie falls into the punch bowl at a party. A fun pop/rock track - 9/10
Say Good-bye to Jr. High - Reminds me of Vitamin C's 'Graduation'. A pretty song of a group of friends moving to a new stage of their lives - 9/10
I have arrived - A love song about being ready for a relationship and knowing who you are. A pretty and slower toned song. - 6/10
94 Weeks (Metal Mouth Freak) - A younger tune about the horror of braces. A pretty slow tune and its nice to hear a kid singing about kid things - 7/10
This is me - Another love song about being yourself in a relationship. Nice enough tune - 5/10
Dummy -Another love song about escaping a failing relationship. 'And I don't wanna be your dummy I cut the strings and I'm free hunny'. Fun, slower song with catchy lyrics - 10/10
Mexican Wrestler - Don't be fooled by the title. One of the pretties slow love songs I've heard in quite awhile. Gotta love the 'I wish' parts. My personal favorite on the album - 10/10
We are gonna happen - A more upbeat track about a blooming relationship - 8/10
New Shoes - You've gotta love it. A cute young love song to a pair of new shoes - 8/10
'Unfabulous and more' is a surprisingly good album. I assumed I'd be too old to enoy the music but I really do. Emma has a great voice and it's great to hear a teen singing about a few more things then just boys. Highlights are 'Say Good-bye to Jr. High' and 'Mexican Wrestler'.
Definitely worth checking out!
