Sofia Talvik: Jonestown Reviews
Review by Kat
Sofia Talvik’s sophomore album offers more of what her fans have undoubtedly come to love. Sophia’s voice is as striking as ever on cruising songs that are perfect to chill out to (‘Put your troubles in a box, and your heart behind the locks…’). The album has a charm that will appeal to younger and older audiences alike and what teen Portrait reader doesn’t like an album they can play on a road trip with their parents?
‘Summer Ended Yesterday’, ‘Clown’, ‘Arms and Armour’ and title track ‘Jonestown’ are some of my favorites.
If you enjoyed Sofia’s first album you’ll definitely enjoy this. As the lyrics of ‘Something Good’ proclaim: ‘I know there’s something good in me’ and there’s definitely something good in ‘Jonestown’. Check it out!
