McFly: Radio:Active Reviews
Review by Melissa

Mcfly's most recent album, Radio:Active continues to show the band's growth as musicians. Every song is fantastic with bits of great musicians clearly influencing style. It's not a copycat album in any way. Rather it shows just how musicians should listen to and embrace their musical idols while creating their own style and artistry. Lies is a great song, similar to the style of The Used. Catchy beats, clever lyrics and definitely gets stuck in your head. POV (Point of View) is a haunting song about a love that has ended. The one who was hurt is suddenly seeing the lover through new eyes. The lines "I'm looking at you from another point of view, I don't know how the hell I fell in love with you, I never wish for anyone to feel the way I do" brilliantly capture a broken heart beginning to move on.

One for the Radio is a great anthem with a tongue in cheek attitude as the band ridicules those who mock them to their friends but secretly know all the words to their songs.

Falling in Love is a sweet Springsteen style ballad that tells of a love lost. Down Goes Another One is my favorite song and continues from She falls Asleep off Wonderland album. That song told of a girl who is begging her boyfriend to be there and he never is and she committs suicide. This latest song tells his story and how her choice continues to haunt him.

McFly continues to impress their fans, proving they can grow up and still remain a fantastic pop band. Buy this album and get ready for their new one. It promises to be a great one!
