Delta Goodrem: Mistaken Identity - by Kat
Stuck on your head: I'm disorientated. I'm trying not to be jaded. When it's all so complicated. Cause I'm a little disorientated.

Delta quickly proves with this album that she's got a lore more then love songs to share with us this time around. Since the release of her first album she's been diagnosed with and successfully treated for a form of cancer: Hodgkins disease. The title track 'Mistaken Identity' points out how much she's chanced since 'The girl in the chair with the long flowing hair, well that used to be me... Yesterday's girl is not what you see. It's a terrible case of mistaken identity' She also alludes to her illness in tracks like 'Out of the blue' ('Started with the day I thought I would die'), The beautiful dedication to her brother 'You are my rock' ('Only when your lucks run out you find out who really counts') the angry bonus track 'Nobody listened' ('When I cried and I shouted and I screamed and I yelled... but nobody listened') and many others.
The album is more diverse song-wise. From the lethargic feeling 'Miscommunication' the quick paced piano driven 'The Analyst', 'Mistaken Identy which has a fun jazz feel 'and 'A little too late' has a great feel with the echo style 'they say' and the pause in the intro, it has a real teen anthem feel. 'Electric Storm' has a strong musical dramatic theme.
both Delta's albums have been fabulous but Mistaken Identity has a little more kick to it. Delta wrote most of the tracks and they really come from the heart. A really beautiful listening experience. Must have!
