The Killers: Sam's Town Review
|
Okay, we all know that this is quite possibly the most highly anticipated release of the year...I know I've been waiting for it a long time.
The album is very different from Hot Fuss. I still love it, it's much more American rock based than English, but in a good way. I love the entire album, but 'Bones' is probably my favorite song on the album. There were also a few extra songs on the album, depending on where you buy/bought it from.
'Where the White Boys Dance' is amazing! I love it. If you liked Hot Fuss you will most likely like Sam's Town too, but there are some people who aren't liking the "Americanized" Killers...though they are originaly from Las Vegas, if you didn't already know that. 'Sam's Town' is the first song on the album, and it's really good, it kind of sets the tone for the rest of the album.
'Enterlude' is where you really start to hear that Brandon (the lead singer, for those of you living under a rock the past two years) is really taking control of his voice now, it's no longer just the one you heard on Hot Fuss. He has a plethora of pitches now, as opposed to their first album.
Again, this is something that many people like, but a few aren't happy about, who knows why. The entire album is AMAZING, but my fave songs would have to be 'Sam's Town', 'When You Were Young', 'For Reasons Unknown', 'Bones', and 'Read My Mind'.
I HIGHLY recommend this album, at least give it a listen on their website and see if you like it, because if you liked them before...this album is, more than likely, going to be a staple in your music collection.
