My Chemical Romance: The Black Parade Review - by Natalie

The Black Parade is the first My Chemical Romance album I listened to. I think it is exactly like how it’s described as- ‘completely over the top’ and ‘borderline psychotic’.

01. The End- a strong start. Haunting, sets the bar for the rest of the album. 8.5/10
02. Dead!- one of my favourite tracks. The rhythm and beat in this track is fantastic! 10/10
03. This is how I Disappear- not bad, the lyrics are good, the music is slightly haunting with its gothic and melodic tunes. 9/10
04. The Sharpest Lives- Continuing from This is how I disappear, this one is more heavy and pounding. 8/10
05. Welcome To the Black Parade- the first single, I quite liked it because of the range featured. 9/10
06. I Don’t Love You- it’s a very emotional song, and I think it delivers. 8.5/10
07. House of Wolves- a very quick, fast-paced song, which I liked. 9/10
08. Cancer- this one has a very haunting and depressing tune. I don’t really like overly depressing songs, which this is. 6/10
09. Mama- starts of with a jaunty melody. It’s ok. 8/10
10. Sleep- I really hated this one actually. 4/10
11. Teenagers- a great track after Sleep. Pretty impressive. 9/10
12. Disenchanted- completely different from the whole album, but its ok. 7/10
13. Famous Last Words- I really liked this one. It ends the album on a high note. The chorus is really good. 9/10

There is a one minute long, bizarre hidden track called "Blood", which is really completely out of this world.
