Clay Aiken: A Thousand Different Ways

Review #1 - By tara98gold

Okay so I bought this cd the day it came and actually I then went on to buy 3 more because I'm a crazed claymate!!! Anyways this cd contains 10 classic love songs as well as four brand new ones.

Every song on the album is great and Clay does an amazing job of covering all of these songs. Which in my opinion is no surprise.

1. Right Here Waiting (10/10) - An amazing new take on the Richard Marx song. I'm a fan of the original but I love Clay's version and I actually think that it is better. Awesome.

2. Lonely No More (10/10) - The first original song on the album and this song was written by Clay and it is wonderful. I love how the song builds and the lyrics in this song are beautiful.

3. Without You (10/10) - When I first heard Clay's version of this song I almost passed out which sounds stupid but really is that good. He sings this song so well that no other version even compares.

4. Every Time You Go Away (8/10) - Not bad very catchy and again Clay sounds amazing.

5. Sorry Seems to Be The Hardest Word (8/10) - Clay's take on this classic Elton John song. Again Clay does an amazing job on this one.

6. When I See You Smile (10/10) - Such an amazing song and Clay's version is out of this world. I love this song and I could listen to it over and over again it's great!

7. A Thousand Days (10/10) - The next original song on the album and it is a great song and I love everything about it. Probably one of the best on the cd.

8. Everything I Do (I Do It For You) (10/10) - When I first saw that this song was on Clay's cd I was excited to hear his version but at the same time I was very skeptical because the original is absolutely amazing. But Clay did a great job on this one. This is the one song that I have to say that Clay's version is just as good as the original though. I love Bryan Adams version of this song but Clay does an amazing job.

9. Because You Loved Me (10/10) - Clay's version of this Celine Dion song and it is again amazing. I love how this song was slowed down a lot and I love the beat. It's great.

10. I Want To Know What Love Is (8/10) - A good song. Clay sings it well and the beat and everything is great.

11. These Open Arms (9/10) - The third original song and it is good. I love the way it sounds and it is definately worth a listen.

12. Here You Come Again (7/10) - Probably my least favorite on the album. It's not horrible but it's the one song that I find myself skipping. Clay sings it well but I find that it's a little blah.

13. Everything I Have (9/10) - The last original on the cd. It's a nice slow ballad and it's just very nice and calm.

14. Broken Wings (10/10) - I love this song. It's got a cool dark feel to it. Not in a bad way it's just really cool. It's got a nifty voice over and it's just a great take on this song.

15. Lover All Alone (10/10) - This song is only available to customers who buy the cd off of ITUNES but it is the best song I have ever heard Clay sing. It is kind of a sad song written by Clay himself and it is very haunting. But it's great and well worth to hear.

All in all this is an amazing new cd for Clay to put into his belt. He shows how talented he is by being able to record this classic love songs and make them into something of his own. Clay's voice has also changed on this cd. It's almost like he has found his sound. I love it and I highly recommend and I'm not just saying that as a Clay fan. It's a great cd and I think everyone would love it.
