Teddy Geiger: Underage Thinking Reviews

Stuck on your Head: Forgive me Mom and Dad, if the music makes you sad but nothing can prepare us for the day when little boys grow old and don't do as they're told

Teddy Geiger's debut album is a fantastic first effort; Teddy wrote or co-wrote eleven of the twelve songs will illustrate a depth beyond his 17 years. The music has a mellow but heartwarming quality, with a good collection of slow and upbeat tracks.

'These Walls' - in which Teddy's voice takes on a different raspier sound. The song comes off rather edgy with a great rock sound. - 9/10
'For you I will (confidence)' - The debut single features beautiful lyrics and a great cruisy sound. - 9/10
'Night Air' - One of my favorites on the album. Features a great guitar solo before the bridge. Great lyrics too: 'Well I feel like I do, even more now that I'm leaving you. So what am I to do?' - 10/10
'Thinking Underage' - The title tracking 'Thinking Underage' is a unique song about growing up and changing viewpoints: 'Forgive me Mom and Dad, if the music makes you sad but nothing can prepare us for the day when little boys grow old and don't do as they're told'. The song has an eerier slower sound that really sets it apart from the other songs on the album. Definitely another of my favorites on the CD. - 10/10
'Look where we are now' - One of the slower tracks on the album, I really love the lyrics. - 9/10
'Air Dry' - Air Dry has a really funky beat and like 'These Walls' takes on more of a rock sound during the verse. Fantastic lyrics - 9/10
'Seven days without you' - Another of my favorites on the album. The track is a beautiful slow love song that you can't help but sing along with - 10/10
'Try too hard' 'Love, life, one speaks for the other one here.' A beautiful acoustic love song. - 8/10
'A Million Years' Another great love song. - 8/10
'Possibilities' - Perhaps my favorite from the album. I love the optimism of the lyrics: 'Good-bye my fears, I feel that we have parted. The possibilites keep walking on me' 10/10
'Gentleman' - This is a gorgeous slow song with an increasing pace building in the chorus. 'So carry on young gentlemen. Well I have done all that I can and I have done all that I'll stand for'. A rather intriguing track. - 9/10
'Love is a marathon' - I love Teddy's voice on this track, something about the song just really emphasizes it's beauty. - 9/10

I definitely recommend this album. Especially to fans of John Mayer and Tyler Hilton who will be able to make positive comparisons in the sound and lyrics. 'Underage Thinking' is a must have CD and I can't wait to hear more from this promising young talent.

This album is amazing from the second it goes into the cd player to the last note. At only 17 years old, Teddy sings of very mature and intense feelings and situations. The songs are classic love songs, but they're done with a sort of "Teddy-flair," if you will. He will be touring through the summer, and if you haven't seen him yet you definitely should. And if you have seen him live, well, then you know how amazing he is, and you should go see him again. The album was set to come out on a Dual Disc sometime soon.
