Apply to be a reviewer
If you'd like to join the Portrait Team as a Reviewer we'd love to have you.
What you need to know:
Submit at least two reviews per month (There is no maximum, send in as many as you like). You just need to make sure to send at least something each month to stay active on the team. If you're away on vacation or can't for some reason, that's fine, just let me know.
You don't need to know HTML all you have to do is e-mail your reviews to Kat and she will add them to the site with the next update. Easy! If you do know HTML, however, feel free to do basic coding on your review (paragraph spacing, itallics where relevant, etc.)
You can be a movie, album or book reviewer or a combination of the three.
Your reviews must be reasonably substantial. Two sentence reviews are not accepted. We're not expecting an essay or anything just give us a couple of paragraphs on what you like and dislike about the album, book or movie you're reviewing. 200 is the minimum word count for a review.
Guidelines:
We do not accept reviews for horror films. Also, no reviews for R rated films.
No fantasy or supernaturally themed book reviews.
Since Portrait is a site for teens and young adults, submit reviews for books that would appeal to that audience. We're looking for books with reletatively clean content. Put a warning if there is something contained that isn't.
What you get:
Being a Reviewer allows you to be a part of the Portrait Magazine team while requiring a minimal amount of work. You'll get access to the Portrait Team Forum where you can meet and hang out with other members of the team and offer feedback and suggestions for the site.
Your profile will be added to our Reviewers page here at Portrait Reviews as well as the 'Meet the Team' page at Portrait Magazine
