Floe Ryan contracted a rare incurable disease in 2006. When she died, her body was cryonically preserved until a cure was found for her disease. Now, ten years later, she's been thawed and brought back to life. It's only been ten years but in some ways it might as well have been a lifetime!

Floe's parents contracted the same disease and are still frozen, in the meantime her little sister Sunny - now her older sister - is her guardian. Anyone with a little brother or sister will know what a nightmare that is! There’s also ten years worth of fashion and gadgets to catch up on. But it's not all bad; Floe’s old high school crush, Taz, was frozen and thawed just like Floe - so she’s not alone.

When a lawsuit is filed against The Venice Beach Cryonics Center where Floe’s parents are still frozen, the possibility of the Center being closed down becomes a possibility.

Can Floe adjust to her new life and save her parents before it’s too late?

I was a teenage Popsicle is a breath of fresh air at a time when teenage novels are starting to seem a little repetitive. The story is original, fresh and humorous. You'll love reading about the new gadgets - including hoverblades and skedpets - and the (terrible) fashion that is totally 'in' in 2016.

Floe is a great character who navigates her scary new world with a boldness I wish I posessed. You'll be inspired by the way she deals with the issues that arise and like me you'll be happily anticipating the sequel Beyond Cool (Due out August 2007!)

All in all I was a teenage Popsicle is a great novel from a talented new Author. Definitely worth checking out!
