Harlan Coben has had best sellers in numerous countries, and this won't be an exception. The Woods follows the story of Paul Copeland as he tries to find out what really happened to his sister 20 years before. Like his previous novels, the book is very exciting and is full of twists. Harlan Coben makes you feel as if you know the main characters, and there are even twists right at the end.

However, there are also fault with the book. I thought it was an anti-climax, as I somehow expected a bigger finish. That's probably just my opinion, though. It was a sad ending, and was more like a way to wind down the story. I also thought there were faults with the plot, such as why didn't Camille try to contact Paul? Why would Lucy contact Paul and get involved in the investigation, involved in the investigation, if she knew she could get into trouble if it all came out?

Overall, I felt the book was a success. It is a puzzle, and gets you to think about it. It is a story that should be read in one go, as I found that if I put it down and came back to it the day later, I got slightly confused as to where I was and what had happened.
