Four lifetime best friends find themselves pulled apart when they start at High School. They each belong to different cliques and the most popular girl at school is determined that each must stick to their own. Will their friendship survive it all or will they be pulled apart? Inspired by the popular line of 'Bratz' dolls.
Bratz wasn't really that bad. It just didn't seem to achieve the standard of a feature release. Had it been a straight to DVD or TV movie it would have been fine. The plot line was an unoriginal cliche, the characters weren't developed well enough, the acting was pretty weak and the film's continuity was off (Twenty minutes in the film skips ahead two years and you're left asking: 'wait... what?'.
For positives: The film was clean and kid friendly. It featured some good lessons for young people though they've heard them quite a few times already, (and this will mean a lot more to others then it does to me) the Bratz 'passion for fashion' comes across in their colorful and stylish clothes and costumes.
Ultimate verdict: Watch if you're a fan of the dolls and in the target audience of kid or tween, otherwise you might want to avoid it.
