Widower, Dan Burns (Steve Carell) has all the right answers when it comes to life. If only he could take his own advice to help himself, and his three daughters when it comes to relationships. He has strict rules for his family, but soon struggles to find that she breaks an important one when he falls for his brother’s girlfriend Marie,(Juliette Binoche) at a family reunion. Things get pretty hectic throughout the days, and by the end, everyone finds what true family really means.

Personally, I thought this movie would be targeted more at teenagers, but I came to find that adults would like this movie much better. Sure it was many comedic events to die laughing for, but I think a little more spice could have been added to make the movie a bit more interesting. This is the perfect movie to watch when you’re feeling down!
