Hoot
Review by: Laura O

Being forced to see Hoot against my will, I deliver you a report of one of the worst movies I have seen this year (may I also mention that I went to see Hoot on the day that Poseidon came out, the movie I have been looking forward to since October at least, which killed me).

Roy Eberhardt has moved yet again, this time to Florida. The first day of school, he gets in a fight with the school bully and starts something with the tough girl at school. On the bus ride to school, Roy sees the mysterious barefoot kid, who can run really fast. (fascinating! not!!) After running into the mysterious barefoot kid, he realizes the tough girl at school, Beatrice (singer Brie Larson) and this kid, Mullet Fingers (Newcomer Cody Linley, he's gorgeous) have a connection. Soon, Roy has found himself in the middle of a project to stop the locals from bulldozing a plot of land already inhabited by owls. Can Roy, Beatrice and Mullet Fingers stop them before it's too late?

This is definitely the worst movie I have seen in a long time! The only good things about this movie are 1) the music by Jimmy Buffet, which gave a good "Florida feel" to the movie. And I really like Jimmy Buffet! 2) The owls. They are so adorable and cute! 3) Mullet Fingers is so much fun to look at! But back off, he's mine!

The script was utterly awful! This is the after-school special you never saw. And hopefully never will see!
