Maggie (Cameron Diaz) and Rose (Tony Collete) are two sisters with nothing in common save their shoesize. When perky party girl Maggie moves in with her uptight work-aholic sister Rose disaster is sure to ensue. When Maggie sleeps with Rose's befriend the tension erupts into a massive fight. Maggie leaves with no way for Rose to contact her and goes to stay with the sisters estranged Grandmother Ella (Shirley MacLaine) at her retirement village in Florida.

The performances in this film are brilliant. Both Cameron and Tony nail their characters while Shirley MacLaine plays a great tough but loving Grandmother.

Though the story begins to drag in the last half hour and certainly enters the grounds of cheesyville it is entertaining and heartwarming.

I personally loved the film and left with a warm feeling. Definitely worth seeing.
