Kung Fu Panda Reviews

Po is a panda. He is a very big panda, whose goose dad runs a noodle shop. He never thought that he would become a kung fu master just like his idols, the Fierce Five (Tigress, Mantis, Viper, Crane, and Monkey). So when he is chosen by Master Oogway, he has to prove to Master Shifu and to himself that he can be the true dragon warrior.

The story behind how I ended up watching this movie is a bit long and very hilarious, but I don't regret that I did. Kung Fu Panda is definitely worth it, and a very hilarious movie! It really doesn't matter that it stars celebrity voices, it is still very good. It has the basic theme of someone unlikely to accomplish something high. But add that to a confused goose, master and student, a legend, and the other hilarious aspects you get a very great movie.

The story aided with flashbacks helps to understand what made Tai Lung dangerous and why Po is a big deal. The characters relate to one another what happened then, why everything is as it is. The flashbacks that the character have, are very important to the storyline as they reveal some information that aids the story line. The relationship between father and son changes throughout the story line, and brings them closer.

If you also think about the true meaning, what's within you, you'll see that throughout the whole movie. It doesn't matter that Po is big and fat and probably won't be able to be as flexible as Viper, fierce as Tigress, have the agility of Mantis, the tactics of Crane, or the power of Monkey. He is unique and has something of his own.

But overall, this movie is not only a great family movie, but a movie that you will be laughing in your seats about with all of your friends. Forget that it’s like a children's movie, it’s still great to watch! The storyline is amazing, and it’s a movie worth seeing!

Tamara's Review

I really enjoyed this movie, as did everyone else in the theatre I was in! The comedy in the movie is funny enough for adults to enjoy and kids to understand, as well. I think that Jack Black did a great job of voicing the Panda Po, and his voice is just so hilarious as it is, even the smallest things he says make you laugh. Overall, I would definitely recommend Kung Fu Panda to anyone who just wants to kick back, relax, and enjoy a lighthearted family comedy.
