The Love Bug is the original from what Lindsay Lohan's movie "Herbie - Fully Loaded" was based on. Jim Douglas is a washed-up race car driver and is getting way to old for racing. Until one day he ends up buying Herbie, a little Volkswagen Beetle with a mind of its own. From then on, Jim has a whirlwind of success until someone decides to try and sabotage the car.

OK, this movie isn't high art. It's a silly comedy for kids or families. But if that's what you're looking for then this is a good one. Some of the performances are goofy, but hey, there's nothing wrong with enjoying this movie. Just don't take it too seriously (because you can't).
