Love don't cost a thing Review

I hired the 80's version of this movie a few months ago. Ugh! It was terrible! I mean I got so bored with it I didn't even finish it. Then my mother hired this video for me seeing that it was a teen movie and thinking I'd like it. Well it had it's shortcomings but for the most part I enjoyed it.

The story is of an unpopular pool boy with a fro and monobrow, Elvin, who in his last Semester of high school is sick of his social status. When the schools most popular girl Paris borrows her mothers car without permission and crashes it Elvin offers to pay for the parts and repair the car himself provided she pretends to be his friend for two weeks. Thus making him popular.

The story had it's floors. Elvin changes too dramatically in too short a space of time. And I just plain can't stand his father! But it also has some good messages. It shows how stupid some trends can be, and how lame some people will be to be popular. Nick Cannon did well in the first role I'd seen him in outside of Nickelodean Shows. Christina Milan has a sparkle onscreen and I'm look forward to seeing her in other things. And it was great to see Kenan again!

Overall an ok viewing. Entertaining and far better then the first.
