After winning a raffle vacation to the sunny beach of Cannes, France, Mr. Bean (Rowan Atkinson) discovers mishaps on the journey, including trains, automobiles, and not to mention live seafood! After wrongly thought to be a kidnapper, and a movie director, the still-smiling Mr. Bean has a lot of explaining to do after arriving to his destination with the son of a famous Romanian filmmaker, and an aspiring actress. With all this trouble on his hands, the hilarious character must get through the mess he created with the help of his new pals.
I took my younger sibling to see the movie last weekend, since they were dying to see it. I would have never imagined myself enjoying the movie. Yet, once the credits came on, “Encore” is what my mind was screaming! The movie has much more than plain comedy, it had a story that people all around would love to hear about. The acting was amazing, and it was great to see an almost-silent movie for a change. There isn’t much thinking involved when seeing a movie such as this, which is a good thing for most! If you aren’t easy going, fun-loving, or open hearted, this movie isn’t for you. But for those who want a good laugh, and experience a fun time, today’s the day to head down to your local movie theater, and check out the comedy of Mr. Bean’s Holiday!
