The Pink Panther (2006)
Review by: Laura O

Inspector Jacques Clouseau the clumsiest, dumbest, and most irritable inspector in Paris is on a mission! After France beats China in the World Cup, French soccer coach Yves Gluant is murdered and his ring, the Pink Panther, is gone! The case falls in the hands of Chief Dreyfus, who has been nominated seven times for the Medal of Honor, but has never won. Realizing, this Dreyfus puts the Gluant case in the hands of Jacques Clouseau (Steve Martin), in order to make a complete fool out of himself and loose it. One by one, Clouseau narrows down his search to Gluant's girlfriend and international superstar Xania (Beyonce Knowles), a trainer who trains, a soccer star, and a hotel casino. But will Dreyfus carry out his plans and take credit for Clouseau's work?

This movie is absolutely hystarical. I absolutely love Steve Martin in this film. Steve Martin's French accent is perfect and pulls off the humor so well. Beyonce Knowles has very little screen time. She was actually a lot better then what I expected. She wasn't any Julia Roberts, but she isn't 1/2 bad! She is certainly better then a bunch of other singers-turned-actresses in her film debut.

In conclusion, everyone in this film is a delight to watch. But especially Steve Martin. It was fun watching his character create a huge fool out of himself.
