Five hundred, twenty-five thousand, six hundred minutes. RENT, starring Rosario Dawson, and the original cast of the Broadway musical, is this seasons box office hit. The movie is almost exactly like the musical, but captures the whole New York scenery better. Everything about this movie was amazing. I left the theatre with smudged mascara from crying. This is a movie that shows that even people with different sexual orientations, people with AIDS, strippers, and musicians are all one big family of friends. This story follows a guy named Mark as he wants to make a documentary about NY. His story includes all of his friends who are so different, but so alike at the same time. One thing about this movie is that they will be talking one moment, then all of a sudden burst into song. I loved it. The costumes were awesome too. This movie is supposed to be set in the 80s, and the fashion captures that perfectly. There is not much else to say except- go see this movie!
