Rocky Balboa Review
By Elizabeth Satingin
The greatest underdog story of our time is back for one final round.
Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) retired from his boxing days for a good amount of time. He went through many struggles to get where he is today. His wife passed with cancer, it was tremendously hard since she was his number one fan.
A virtual boxing match puts Rocky and the current champion, Mason Dixon (Antonio Tarver), up against each other in a whose who of boxing champions. Rocky then decides to reenter the ring and fight in matches that are low key.
When Dixon's managers hear that Rocky is back, they set up the match between the two champions. His brother in law, son, and friends help him out to regain his strength. Rocky's passion and spirit come out from his heart and he agrees to the match.
Rocky has to fight through the mental and physical risks of the high profile exhibition match and prove to himself that he has the heart and dedication a real boxer should.
Sylvester Stallone writes, directs and stars in the final chapter of the Rocky story. His performance is superb in the film. He ends the Rocky films on a great note. If you have seen the Rocky movies (Rocky - Rocky V), you will not be disapointed with Rocky Balboa.
