Shrek 2 Review

Shrek is back with a host of new characters! Shrek 2 sees the introduction of Princess Fiona's parents, the evil Fairy Godmother and her son Prince Charming, and the star of the show Puss in Boots! In Shrek 2, Shrek, Fiona and Donkey set out to visit Fiona's parents and thus get the Kings blessing on their marriage. As one could imagine when finding their Son-in-Law to be an oger the King does not wish to bestow his blessing and on the suggestion of the Fairy God Mother who wishes her son to marry Fiona he hires an assassin Puss in Boots to have Shrek killed.

The film has a host of spoofs from other movies: Spider, Lord of the Rings, Mission Impossible and more.

Various elements of the modern world mixed with Medievil times is really fun. Far Far Away is basically Hollywood, the characters watch Medievil E and purchase food at a Fast Food Chain. The laughter nearly never stops and the host of new characters work into the story well

Puss in Boots big eyes could melt anyones heart.

I enjoyed the second film a lot more then the first and it certainly deserves the record breaking success it's having.
