The Incredibles
Review by: Kat

Mr. Incredible was once a top superhero until he saved someone who didn't want to be saved and was slapped with multiple lawsuits. Resultingly he and every other superhero had to go into witness protection programs and assume a normal (suburban) life. Mr. Incredible is now Bob Parr and lives with his wife Halen (Elastigirl)and their three children Violet, Dash and baby Jack Jack. Mr. Incredible is an inscurance claims specialist and is fed up with his pushy boss and job of denying people their insurance. When Mr. Incredible is offered the chance to play the role of hero again by a mysterious informant, he jumps at the opportunity, but when it turns out to be a trap set by an old nemesis, the whole family must set out on a mission to save Mr. Incredible and the world.

I absolutely love the characters in the Incredibles. The film is really Pixar's first film with human characters (though they are superheros) and they act so humanlike it's strange to see them as cartoons. I love how hard gravity has hit Mr. Incredible with the sagging stomach and superhero outfits that hardly fit. The interaction between Violet and Dash is hilerious. Sybling rivalry to superhero extremes. Jack Jack is adoreable, you MUST get the DVD and watch the little bonus movie about what happens between him and the babysitter while the family are away. It's hilerious!

The scenery in the film is gorgeous! I was actually sad when the family left the island as there wouldn't be anymore beautiful foliage and water scenes.

The villain is fantastic. You've got to love his hair and his gadgets really rock.

The film is a good adventure about looking after the people you love, it may not appeal to most kids as much as adults as the adults feature more in the film then the kids. But some scenes the kids will definitely love.

MUST SEE!
