Torque
Review by: Kat

Biker Cary Ford (Martin Henderson) is framed by an old rival and biker gang leader for the murder of another gang member who happens to be the brother of Trey (Ice Cube), leader of the most feared biker gang in the country. Ford is now on the run trying to clear his name from the murder with Trey and his gang looking for his blood.

This film is described as Fast as Furious on bikes so you automatically know what to expect: unrealistic adrenaline charged races, cheesy one liners and 'hot chicks'.

Torque does have a few things going for it, like kiwi actor Martin Henderson. Some scenes are so ridiculous they make you laugh. The film also has a kinda cool comic book feel to it with fast camera pans, bright colours and unusual lighting. There are maybe two good lines ("I know you said it wouldn't be any fun if it was easy, but does it have to be THIS much fun?") and a ton of terrible ones ("I live my life a quarter-mile at a time.")

It's not a film I'd bother buying, and probably not renting either, unless you're into that kind of thing, but if it's on TV it could be good for a few laughs. Teenage boys will certainly love it.
