Yours, Mine and Ours - Review by Laura
Starring Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo, Yours, Mine & Ours follows the lives of military man Frank Beardsley (Quaid), and his 8 kids! The kids are used to things being completely organized and neat. No one can even leave the toothpaste open. After being walked out on on a blind date, Frank runs into his high school sweetheart, Helen North (Russo). Helen is now the artsy, hippie-chick like handbag designer. It's love at first sight since high school. They run into each other at their high school reunion cruise and learn that they are both widowed. Frank also finds out that Helen has 10 kids. Next thing you know, they're engaged! This is a huge shock to their 18 kids. Being raised in 2 completely different environments, the kids do not get along. In fact, they are at each other's throats. But after a night in the lighthouse, the kids decide to get what they want and unite against the greater enemy, Frank and Helen. And it works. The kid's mischievous pranks take a toll on their engagement. But their plan has bonded the two families. Can the kids rebuild what they destroyed in time?
The plotline is similar to Cheaper by the Dozen. This movie is silly and a little cheesy at times. This movie is not a must-see and I would not see it twice. I don't highly recommend it. I really liked Helen's wardrobe though!
Review #2 - By Clark
I cannot believe you didn't like this! If anybody here is a fan of the Cheaper by the Dozen movies, you should most definately see this movie! I absolutely loved it! Its funny, it of course gives you a good sense of family togertherness, and even if it is corny at times, who doesn't like that? The cast was G-R-E-A-T! I always love a big cast, because then you're like, oh there from this show, or that movie. Of course the great actor Dennis Quaid who I can't remember not liking a movie with him in, and the woman who played his wife I didn't know, but she sure did a good job. I would recommend this movie to everyone, and I think you should all check it out at least once!
